CourierPost Supports Red Cross Red Rose Day26 Oct 2008
Red Cross held their annual Red Rose Day last week and CourierPost made sure the roses made it to their destinations on time and unscathed.
CourierPost were very pleased to offer our support to Red Rose Day by providing our courier services free of charge to the Red Cross. Close to 30,000 roses were delivered to 18 locations in the Central and East West regions of New Zealand ready for when volunteers hit the streets.
Red Rose Day is viewed as a great opportunity for volunteers to increase the profile of the New Zealand Red Cross as well as raise funds for the local branches. Money raised from Red Rose Day will be used within the local communities to help fund various projects and initiatives such as offering first aid courses in schools, the provision of welfare to families in need and maintaining emergency response teams.
